Surprise Sprite Learning Pit Project

Another step on the journey was taken today. Although it is fun there is a considerable amount of frustration.

We started by looking at different sprites and backgrounds. One of the main backgrounds that was really useful and helpful was the one with four quadrants and using x and y coordinates. This made it much easier to manipulate the sprite into the areas you wanted.

We also learnt to use various tools such as the pen, which allowed us to draw a square or shape. We learnt to use the costume button and how to use this to change the sprites positions and actions. But to do this we needed to make sure that we had chosen the correct sprite. To help you choose the correct sprite with different costumes you just hover over the sprite and if it moves you know that it has different costumes.

The x and y coordinates were used to help the sprite move around the screen as you wanted. It was interesting how different sprites start at different coordinates. But you can change where they start by changing the coordinates on the grid.

These are the building blocks that I used and will be going back to debug

This is the Sprite I chose.
